一走入金水國小，印入眼簾的是老式的那種木頭禮堂，很特別也很壯觀。往右手邊參觀下去，會先介紹水頭的宗族與宗祠、水頭的洋樓群、僑鄉的教育文化、海外華人教育的建立、金門的學校建築以及金門現代教育。而這裡也有設置一些貼心小設備，像是為了從各地不同地區來了觀光客們準備的語音導覽，可以自行選擇要用什麼語言聽導覽。
Inside Jinshuei Primary school, there is an old-fashioned wooden auditorium.At your right side, there are some introductions about Shuitou’ s lineage and clans, western-style buildings, the education and culture of overseas Chinese’s hometown, the establishment of overseas Chinese’s education, the school architecture and modern education in Kinmen. There is also an audio tour for speakers of different languages. You can choose the language you want to listen the tour.
之後再往下走，會看到一間保存完善的古老式教室，深咖啡色的桌椅、兩人一座的長椅、45度傾斜的桌子以及桌子掀開後的置物空間。這些都是跟現在的課桌椅，以及現代教室的景觀有很大的不同，坐在那種古老的教室裡，真的有種回到1930年代那種很獨特的感覺。在教室的後面，也有展示當年的教材、以及課堂上進行的活動，可以讓我們體驗到跟現在完全不同的教育方式。
Continuing inside, you can see a perfectly preserved old-fashioned classroom with dark brown desks and chairs. There is one bench for two people, 45-degree desk tops which open to reveal a compartment inside. These desks are much different than our modern classrooms. Sitting in the old-fashioned classroom, it really makes you feel that you are in the 1930s. At the back of the classroom, there is a display of teaching materials from that time, allowing us to experience a completely different mode of education.
接著繼續往下走，可以看到教師宿舍和廚房，老師的寢室很簡單，就是一張床和桌子以及衣櫃，而廚房就是那種古老式的大灶爐，想必這個地方再當初應該是張羅學生午餐的廚房。
Continuing on through the school, you can see the teachers’ quarters and the kitchen. The teachers’ quarters are very simple, just a bed, a table and a wardrobe. The kitchen has an old-style stove. This place appears to be the place for preparing the students’ lunch.
到了金水國小的中間，介紹了有關僑鄉的婚姻，當初很多男子在本地娶了妻子之後了南洋去工作，卻在南洋納邊在娶了另一個妻子，讓元配在家鄉常常感到孤單寂寞，盼不到丈夫的歸來。裏頭的牆壁上寫著許多詩句，表達的幾乎都是元配對丈夫的思念以及埋怨。
In the center of Jinshuei Primary school, there are some plagues describing the marriage of overseas Chinese’s hometown. Many men went to Southeast Asia to work after marrying a local wife, but they married another wife when they went to Southeast Asia. That made the first wife feel upset and lonely, and they couldn’t wait for their husband's return. So many verses were written on the inside walls. Most of the expressions are complaints of missing their husbands.
而繼續走，旁邊也有模擬當時藥局樣子的房間，剛進去時真的是嚇了一跳以為是真人呢！
Next, there is a room which shoes the pharmacy’s appearance at the time. When you go in there, it’s really shocking, because there’s a wax figure there.
以大禮堂為起點繞完正方形的金水國小後，對於1930年代的僑鄉教育、婚姻文化有了更深了理解，因此這裡真的是很值得一來的景點。
After moving around the square Jinshuei Primary school, we have more of an understanding about the education and marriage of overseas Chinese’s hometown. This attraction is really worth coming to!
