建功嶼的路口位在延平郡王附近，到了入口會有一條長長的下坡石板路，那邊是禁止車子進入的，所以必須將車子停在路邊的停車位，再徒步走下去哦！
The entrance of Chinkung island is near the Koxinga Temple. There is a stone path where cars and scooters should not enter, so you should park the car and walk.
走到石板路的盡頭就可以清楚的看到建功嶼，在去之前一定要上網查潮汐表，不然如果漲潮的話就會讓這趟旅程撲了空，在岸上可以先看到根根分明的蚵柱，在退潮的時候會看見蚵民帶著工具來挖蚵，聽說每根蚵柱都是有主人的，所以到那邊時千萬不能擅自上前去任意採蚵！
At the end of stone road, Chinkung island is clearly seen. If the tide is high, your plan to go will be in vain. There are many stakes covered by oysters. The oysterman will take their tools to farm the oysters when the tide is out. Each stake has an owner, so do not farm the oyster by yourself.
在趟上通往建功嶼的石板路時，會時不時的看到招潮蟹或是彈塗魚，所以走這條了時，除了要注意退潮後所留下的青苔而導致路面很滑之外，也要注意腳下是否有可愛生物喔！這個景點不建議單獨前往，一方面是如果不小遇到突發狀況，像是時間沒算好，漲潮了回不來可以有同伴方便對外聯繫，另一方面則是因為通往建功嶼的路真的很滑，所以切記一定要彼此互相攙扶，才不會發生危險。
When you walk the path which leads to Chinkung Island, you can see the fiddler crab and mudskipper. You should be careful about not only the slippery path due to algae because of the cute wildlife under your feet. We recommend you should go this spot with another person. First, if you have the emergency, it is better to be with someone. Also, the path is really slippery, and you may need an arm to support you.
建功嶼在歷史上擁有重要的軍事地位，因為位在金門浯江溪口，軍方為了防止共軍直接攻入金門所以在建功嶼設置了W038據點，以及碉堡軍事設備來控制金門的水域。
Chinkung island was an important position for the military. Located at the entrance of the strait, the government avoided the China military, so they built the bunker at a strategic point on Chinkung island in order to control the waters of Kinmen.
另外，在島上有一尊很大的鄭成功雕像，據當地居民說，當初這尊雕像是由福建那邊所贈送的，原本我放置在附近的延平郡王祠，最後輾轉落腳建功嶼，也形成了一大特色。
There is also statue of Zheng Cheng Gong on the island. According to local stories, the statue was a gift from Fujian province. It is a big feature on the island.
另外，在準備離開建功嶼前，入口旁也有設置了可以讓我們清洗腳上的沙的地方，不用擔心腳髒了沒辦法穿鞋的問題。
Before leaving the island, you can wash the sand off your feet using the faucets.
