翟山坑道位於金門西南方，分為坑道及水道兩部份，坑道總長約101公尺，而水道為A字型戰備水道，總長約357公尺，坑內終年陰暗濕冷。民國52年因應八二三砲戰所需開挖，耗時三年才完工，戰時供登陸小艇搶灘運補用，坑內有提供小艇停靠的碼頭，並於民國75年廢棄。爾後由金門國家公園管理處接管，經過一番重新整建，於民國87年7月正式開放。
Jhaishan Tunnel is located in the southwest corner of Kinmen. It is divided into two parts – the tunnel and the aqueduct. The tunnel’s total length is about 101m. The aqueduct’s total length is about 357m, and it is in the shape of an A for defense purposes. It is dark and wet throughout whole year. Jhaishan Tunnel was originally built as a war base (Second Taiwan Strait Crisis) in 1963. It took three years to complete, and provided beachhead-landing boats to transport and supply in the wartime. It was abandaned in 1986, and then was took over by the Management Office of Kinmen National Park. After the rebuilding, it was officially opened on July in 1998.
景點入口處可看到一座刻有「翟山坑道」的石碑。繼續往內走，第一眼就能看到編號1571和2257兩艘登陸小艇，為此處必看的特點之一。這兩艘登陸小艇在八二三砲戰中擔任運補物資不可或缺的重要角色，編號1571是「LCVP人員登陸木質小艇」，而編號2257是「LCM機械登陸鐵質小艇」。
At the entrance, “Jhaishan Tunnel" is carved. Keep walking inside, you can see two landing boats (1571 and 2257). It is a special characteristic of Kinmen. The two landing boats were the most important characters to transport and supply the army during the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis. 1571 is a “L.C.V.P.-VEHICLE AND PERSONNEL”, and 2257 is a “L.C.M.-MECHANIJED”
外面的營區有一片空曠的廣場，遊客可以在此稍作休息。而在坑道入口處前，有兩座石碑直挺挺地佇立在旁邊，分別為毋忘在莒四個字的精神標語和訓練軍人的七大精神。
Outside the camp, there is an expansive square to let visitors take a break here. And in front of the entrance of the tunnel, there is a stone with its spirit slogan “Wuwangzaiju” and a stone with “Seven Spirits” stands beside.
進入坑道內，會先看到左側有許多免費的安全帽供觀光客們使用，以免有落石。接下來會先經過一條長長的坑道，沿著階梯往下走就可以抵達水道入口，坑道內是以堅硬的花崗石為主體，且部分花崗岩上還留有當年的火藥孔。是金門本島地區唯一一個有水道的坑道。
When you go inside, you will notice that there are many free helmets offered to tourists to avoid the falling rocks. You will pass through a long tunnel. Go down along the stairs, you arrive the entrance of the aqueduct. Its main material is granite, and most of the granite has gunpowder holes on it. It is the only tunnel which has an aqueduct in Kinmen.
水道呈現U字形，水面平靜，走道離水面非常地近，為了保留原本靜謐的感覺，周遭也點了些許的藍光，更替坑道增添了另一種神祕的氛圍。
Jhaishan Tunnel is U-shaped, and its water surface is very tranquil. The aisle is so close to the water surface. To preserve the original feeling of stillness, there are some blue lights lit up, adding atmosphere in the tunnel.
開放時間 : 每週一至週日 08：30 - 17：00(農曆除夕或公告停止上班日等特殊狀況，停止開放)
Opening hours : Everyday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (New Year's Eve and other special holidays will be closed.)
