金門畜試所有一個最大的特色，它們推出了名為”青草地”的系列商品，有牛奶、冰淇淋、冰棒及優酪乳，採用最天然的原料，不添加化學成分，讓消費者可以品嘗到最新鮮最原汁原味的酪農產品。
The biggest feature of Kinmen Country Livestock Research Institute is that they launched a series of products called "Green Grass". There are milk, ice cream, popsicles and yogurt made with the natural ingredients, without any added chemicals. Consumers can enjoy fresh and authentic dairy products.
金門縣政府也會在春節等國定假日期間，於畜試所舉行一系列活動，例如在草地上滾草球，增加親子休閒樂趣，推廣在地觀光特色，讓民眾有一個遊玩好去處。
