金門農試所是金門少有的休閒大農場之一，本是因應農業轉型而設立的試驗所，如今則以自然生態及教育園區為主要方向。
It is rare to see a large-scale leisure farm in Kinmen, the Kinmen Country Agricultural Research Institute is one of these leisure farms. In the beginning, the government established the research institute in response to agricultural transformation. Now, the major orientation of research institute is natural ecology and education.
園內的控窯區更是吸引大批遊客於假日爭相前往的好去處，30餘座的窯座可供民眾免費使用；除此之外，這裡也是親子遊樂的好地方，水車體驗區讓大人小孩都能體驗古人的智慧、測試眾人的肢體以及考驗大家的默契。
The clay oven area is a place where everyone can enjoy. There are more than 30 clay ovens people can use. At the waterwheel, adults and children can alike the ancient people used the waterwheel.
在這裡可以看到美麗的山櫻花，綠地紅櫻，相輔相成。天氣好時，就能一睹綻放的櫻花，太陽的熱情照射下，更顯得山櫻花的美，此刻就是絕佳拍照的好時機。在金門，這裡就擁有現成的櫻花。
You can see a panoramic view of the beautiful Taiwan Cherry with the green grass. With the sunshine, the Taiwan Cherry shows its beauty. It’s time to take photos. Now, you won’t have to go to Taiwan to see cherry blossoms.
農試所除了發展農產業外，這裡還有一處歐亞水獺的棲息地，歐亞水獺是一種瀕臨絕種的保育類生物，有機會在金門夜晚的道路上還能見到牠的蹤跡。為了保護牠，農試所特設立此專區，希望藉此可以免於牠面臨絕種的困境。
There is also the habitat of the Eurasian otter. It’s an endangered species. You could hit it with your car. The Agricultural Research Institute set up an area for protecting it and keeps it from going extinct.
