俞大維先生生前多次擔任國防部部長，不畏砲火猛烈，於八二三砲戰期間多次到金門巡視防務，也為國防戰役提供許多精準且極具影響力的戰略。
During his lifetime, Mr. Yu Da-Wei emerged as the leader of National Defense and came to Kinmen to make an inspection tour of defense during the time of The August 23 Battle. He provided many precise strategies and had great influence in many battles.
館內陳設皆是仿造俞先生在台北的居所，展示他的求學時期、任職國防部長時期以及生平榮譽。進到館內，迎面而來的是一副敘述俞大維先生的對聯─「經文緯武奇男子，特立獨行大丈夫」。接著中間矗立著俞先生的半身塑像。從日常起居的家具陳設以及服裝衣著來看，俞先生個性堅毅，十分節儉。
The furnishings here are a replica of his residence in Taipei, displaying his school days, when he took the office of National Defense and to honor in his whole life. When you enter the hall, you will see a couplet that describes Mr. Yu Da-Wei, “經文緯武奇男子，特立獨行大丈夫”, and in the center of hall, there is a statue of Mr. Yu Da-Wei. You can see that Mr. Yu was a frugal man from his furnishings and clothing.
